Leicester City Council have submitted a planning application to build all-weather sports pitches with accompanying car park and pavilion right in the middle of Aylestone Meadows nature reserve.
Despite objections by the Environment Agency, vocal opposition from local residents and the fact that this directly contradicts their own Biodiversity Action Plan, Leicester City Council seem determined to built this facility.
