The Wolsey Angels: Their rediscovery and restoration
To accompany the exhibition of the Wolsey Angels on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Diana Heath, the conservator responsible for the restoration of the Angels, joins us to talk about their rediscovery and restoration. Because they were not originally intended to be kept outdoors, their surface appearance changed a lot over the years. In addition, the separation of the two pairs of Angels and the loss of their wings, has meant that extensive conservation work has been necessary both for their future preservation and to make them suitable for display. Diana will take us through the fascinating history of the Angels and the work that she has undertaken.
